CANCELLATION DURING THE TRIP
In the event that the traveler decides to interrupt his trip or modify his trip, he is not entitled to any refund or further compensation and the responsibility and costs of any of his travel shall be borne solely by the being the same.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND VISAS – VISAS
Passport and ID are considered travel documents. A passport is necessary for every trip and for all countries of the world. However, in the EU countries and in certain countries where bilateral relevant agreements are in force, you can also travel with an ID with Latin characters (preferably from the last decade). If there is a passport, we recommend that you carry it with you for every trip abroad.
It is solely your responsibility to:
- have a valid passport and have been informed by the competent authorities whether the travel document you will use is acceptable in the countries you will travel to,
- to have been informed and taken care of the visas (visas) that may be needed,
- have been informed if in the countries you will travel it is necessary for your passport to be valid for at least six months from the date of return of the trip,
- have blank pages in your passport for the entry stamp to the countries you will be traveling to and
- you have been informed if there is an entry ban in the country you will travel to if your passport has a stamp of another specific country and you have issued a new passport (e.g. a passport with an Israeli entry stamp is not valid for travel to Iran).
- If you have a foreign passport, you must let us know when you register and verify, along with us, the necessary visas (time, fees, photos). World of Travel is not responsible if you do not follow the procedure set by each consular authority of a foreign country that requires a visa or if you have not presented the correct documents and are not allowed to enter the foreign country. In the event that you cancel the trip for these reasons, we reserve the right to ask you for the costs that your cancellation of the trip may cause.
- Special provisions apply for travel by minors. Please be informed accordingly by the competent bodies (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies and consular authorities).
HEALTH AND HEALTH FORMULATIONS
Those participating in an organized group trip must be in such a physical condition that they can carry it out, without causing delays or modifications to the smooth flow of the execution of the program. The company reserves the right to interrupt the trip and return the traveler back to Greece, without any obligation to refund the money he paid, if he judges that his health or life is at risk or immediately creates a serious problem for the other fellow travelers. In such a case, repatriation costs are borne exclusively by the traveler. If you have health problems, consult your doctor before starting your trip. Every traveler is obliged to take the necessary health precautions, which are recommended by P.O.Y. or required by the country being visited. For this reason, you should contact the competent health authorities. Especially in cases of epidemics/pandemics (e.g. COVID-19) special health provisions/procedures apply that you should follow to travel in Greece or abroad.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRAVELERS
Each traveler is responsible throughout the trip for keeping their passport, money, valuables, credit cards, airline tickets, etc. in a safe place. If you lose something we will support you for the best possible and most immediate solution. Any costs incurred will be borne by you.

OUR CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS
ACCURACY OF OUR PROGRAMS
All travel is planned based on current flight schedules at the time the program was written. Possible changes to them may modify the order, overnight stays and the originally planned visits and tours. World of Travel reserves the right to change hotels to others of the same or higher category. Some trips are inherently difficult and require adjustments depending on the date they are taken. Thus, the final program of each trip will be detailed in the Travel File along with information on flights, hotels, etc. and will be delivered to travelers no later than three (3) days before the departure of the trip. World of Travel reserves the right to request from the traveler any increase in costs that may arise and will be due to increases in the price of fuel or other sources of energy, taxes or fees in the travel services included in the contract imposed by third parties, who are not directly involved in the execution of the package, including tourist taxes, airport taxes, embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports, visa fees, etc.
PROGRAM CHANGES
In matters of land transport, air transport or sea transport, our responsibility in all cases is limited within the framework of the relevant international conventions. Delays and/or changes in routes, aircraft type and/or stopovers are likely to be decided by various government and other organizations and/or airlines, resulting in delays or modifications to the schedule flow. Also, the owners or managers of hotels, night clubs, restaurants, as well as government organizations (responsible for museums and other archaeological sites) are likely to make decisions that have a direct impact on the implementation of the program as it was originally designed. World of Travel is neither able to control nor prevent such decisions and actions and therefore cannot be held responsible for the specific cases. In accordance with the Community and Greek legislation (PD 7/2018), World of Travel has taken out its professional liability insurance to cover non-performance or defective performance of the contract on its part, as well as for the return of the payments and repatriation to bankruptcy case.
CHANGE OF JOURNEY BEFORE DEPARTURE
For the organization of its trips, World of Travel uses third-party services such as airlines, hotels, etc., over which it is not possible to have direct control and therefore there is a possibility of changes without its own responsibility. If we have a major change then we will try to contact you, prior to departure, either directly or through the travel agent who made the booking. In such a case we provide you with the following alternatives:
- Accept the change.
- Participate in another trip, with the obligation to pay the difference in the event that a higher sales price applies. In the event that it is lower, you will be refunded the difference.
- Cancel the trip with a simultaneous refund of all the money you have already paid.
CHANGES DURING THE TRIP
World of Travel does not assume responsibility for cases where after the departure of a trip, a regular scheduled airline flight does not take place or for cases beyond its control and ability to avoid, such as e.g. change of aircraft to another of smaller capacity, delays due to technical failure or due to a previous itinerary, war or threat of war, social unrest, industrial disputes, strikes, natural disasters, bad weather, acts of terrorism, epidemics/pandemics. Also, World of Travel has no control over the rooms in every hotel, city, etc. The additional financial costs that may be caused by the aforementioned cases are borne entirely by the traveler. Many times, especially during peak periods, hotels are overbooked. If this happens during the trip, we will make every effort to find rooms in another hotel of the same category in the same city. If this is not possible and we are forced to find rooms in a lower category hotel we undertake to refund you the difference resulting from the difference in hotel category. Our concern, in any case, is to maintain, as far as conditions allow, the style and structure of each trip unchanged and with this in mind, any changes imposed by incalculable factors during the course of the trip will be decided upon.
IF WE CANCEL YOUR TRIP
We reserve the right to cancel our organized group travel for any reason up to 7 calendar days prior to departure. In extraordinary cases of force majeure (such as war or threat of war, social unrest, industry claims, natural disasters, bad weather, acts of terrorism, epidemics/pandemics, etc.) it is possible to cancel in less than 7 days. If we are ultimately forced to cancel the trip, we provide you with the following alternatives:
Participate in another trip, with the obligation to pay the difference if a higher selling price applies. If a lower price applies, you will be refunded the difference.
Request a full refund of the money you have already paid.
SECURITY ABROAD
The safety of our travelers is our first concern. That is why we constantly monitor the political & health developments around the world and ask, when necessary, the advice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the competent bodies. If we are advised to avoid visiting a country, then we inform travelers accordingly and cancel the trip if necessary. Unfortunately, despite all this, criminal actions against people and their property are facts that exist all over the world. Travelers have the same responsibility for themselves and their belongings as when they are at home. We recommend not leaving money, valuables and passports unattended in hotel rooms. There are usually safes in the rooms or at the hotel reception. We recommend keeping money and passports in inside pockets or in a special waist bag. On flights, avoid handing in suitcases or bags that do not lock. Finally, do not leave things on the coaches during the tours, even if it is recommended to you as safe by the local officials. If you or another member of your party becomes ill during a trip, injured or dies from any activity – service beyond those we have undertaken to offer you, or on the spot by our agent, we will support you in any action (claim) you want to proceed against anyone, but we bear no responsibility. In addition, we optionally recommend the purchase of TRAVEL INSURANCE abroad, the terms of which are detailed in the proposed insurance policy.
