After breakfast we depart for the most important settlement of the pre-Byzantine period, Avanos, built on the banks of the Aly River and visit a pottery workshop. The city is famous for its pottery. We continue with the Dervent Valley and the eighth wonder of the world: the Fairy Chimneys formed from volcanic rocks. We cross the Zelvi, Pasambag and Korama valleys. We visit churches with amazing hagiographies (the Dark, the Hidden, the Virgin Mary, the Sandals, the Saint Barbara, the Snake, the Apple, the Stephanos). We go to Usthisar, to the "Extreme Tower", from where the view of the entire region is amazing. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

3rd day: CAPPADOCIA

+ -
Departure for the famous Caesarea, birthplace of Saint Basil, which was named in 17 AD by the Roman emperor Tiberius, in honor of Caesar Augustus' father. Hittites, Greeks, Jews and Seljuks all passed through here and left their legacy in this historic city that has been inhabited since 3000 BC. We will tour this impressive city, which in addition to its rich past also carries a rich present since it is one of the most important cities that support and promote the Turkish economy, one of the "Tigers of Anatolia". On our panoramic tour we will see the monumental, black volcanic stone walls of the city castle, built in the early 13th century, during the reign of the Seljuk Sultan Alaattin Keykubat. The Gupgupoglu Konagi, an 18th-century Ottoman mansion with beautiful wooden balconies and doors, which now houses the Ethnographic Museum, and many other attractions, such as the Cifte Madrasah, the Kursunlu Mosque, the Mahperi Hunat Hatun complex and the city's covered market. We will have free time for lunch (not included) but also to walk around this historic city. Manti and pasturmas stand out from its excellent local cuisine. We will also have the opportunity to visit shops dedicated to these masterpieces of gastronomy. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
