1st day: ATHENS - CAIRO

Meeting at the airport and direct flight to Cairo. Arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight.

Day 2: CAIRO – TOUR – PYRAMIDS – NEW ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM – KHAN EL KHALIL MARKET

Today's full-day city tour will begin with the imposing Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, as well as the Sphinx, which depicts Pharaoh Khafre with the body of a lion. For the rest, transfer to the brand new Cairo Museum (GEM = Grand Egyptian Museum), the largest archaeological museum in the world, which officially opened its doors on October 16, 2024. The vast majority of the exhibits with masterpieces thousands of years old and of incredible value from all periods of Egyptian history have been transferred there from the old museum. The museum is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025 with a special room dedicated to Tutankhamun. Short stop at the papyrus and perfume workshops and we continue to the bustling Khan El Khalil bazaar, drowned in colors and shops with folk art items. Free time to haggle in the countless markets. Lunch at the award-winning floating restaurant "Le Pacha 1901". Return to our hotel. Overnight

3rd day: CAIRO – 2ND TOUR – CAIRO ACROPOLIS – CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE – NATIONAL MUSEUM OF EGYPTIAN CULTURE

The first visit of our tour today will be to the Cairo Citadel, the famous Citadel of Saladin (Salah El Din Citadel). Then we will visit the Church of St. George of the 7th or 8th century. It is the only round church in Egypt, as it was built on the foundations of a Roman round tower. Finally, we will visit the famous National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which hosts a collection of approximately 50,000 exhibits - it is the first museum in the Arab world that focuses on Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times to the present day. After the end of the tours, lunch will follow at a local restaurant.

Day 4: CAIRO – ALEXANDRIA – CAIRO

Full-day excursion to Alexandria, the city founded in 331 BC by Alexander the Great. During our tour we will see the Hellenistic colony, the Greek Patriarchate, the House of Cavafy as well as the fortress of the Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay (external visit), built in 1477 on the ruins of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria. We conclude our tour of the city with a visit to the new Library of Alexandria - an amazing modern architectural achievement. Lunch at a restaurant in Alexandria. Late afternoon return to Cairo. Overnight.

Day 5: CAIRO – ATHENS

Transfer to the airport and boarding the return flight to Athens.
