DAY 1: ATHENS - BOLOGNA, TOUR

Meeting at the airport and flight with AEGEAN AIRLINES to the capital of Emilia-Romagna, Bologna, the gastronomic capital of Italy. The city is known for the oldest university in Europe (since 1088), but also for its arcades, which reach a length of 38 kilometers, including the longest arcade in the world of San Luca, 3.7 kilometers long with 666 arches. Free time. Transfer and check-in at the MERCURE BOLOGNA CENTRO 4* hotel (www.accor.com). Overnight.

DAY 2: BOLOGNA - FLORENCE, CITY TOUR

Morning departure for Florence. Arrival and guided tour of the city of the Renaissance, during which we will see its most important sights, such as the imposing Duomo with Giotto's famous bell tower, the Baptistery, the church of Santa Croce, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza de la Signoria, etc. Free time for additional acquaintance with the city and return to Bologna and our hotel. Overnight.

DAY 3: BOLOGNA - MARANELLO (TOWN OF FERRARI) - LAKE MAGGIORE

Morning departure for Maranello, the city of Ferrari. Maranello is the city where the Ferrari museum is located, which we will visit (ticket included). Specifically, it is located just 300 meters away from the Ferrari factory. The Ferrari museum was first opened in 1990, has an area of ​​2,500 sq. m. and the number of visitors is estimated at 180,000 per year. Regardless of whether you are a car and Formula 1 fan, Maranello is definitely worth a visit. The experience is incredible. A multitude of exhibitions, with all the Ferrari models and their engines, will take you on a journey through time. Our final stop is the idyllic Lake Maggiore (Lago Maggiore, meaning "great lake"), located in the southern Alps, on the border of Italy and Switzerland. DAY 4: LAKE MAGGIORE, CRUISE TO THE ISLANDS OF ISOLA BELLA AND ISOLA PESCATORI, BOROMEE PALACE

Morning departure for our Cruise to the nearby picturesque islands of Isola Pescatori (Fishermen's Island) and Isola Bella, where we will visit the luxurious 17th century palace of the Borromeo family with its amazing gardens and excellent views (the cost of the Cruise and entrance to the palace is included). Return to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE MAGGIORE, RIDE ON THE COGOTTO TO THE ALPINE ZERMATT (SWITZERLAND)

Morning departure for our excursion to the Swiss Alps. Following a beautiful route, we climb to the point from which we will board the cogwheel train to reach the "diamond of the Alps", the fairytale Zermatt, one of the most famous mountaineering centers (at an altitude of 1,620 meters) in the shadow of the permanently snow-capped peak of the much-photographed Matterhorn mountain (Matterhorn, 4,480 meters). Free time to wander the small picturesque streets and stone alleys, through which some old well-preserved wooden houses emerge. Return to the hotel full of beautiful impressions from our tiring, but beautiful excursion. Overnight.

DAY 6: LAKE MAGGIORE, DAY TRIP TO LAKES LUGANO AND COMO (SWITZERLAND)

This morning we will depart for the Swiss border, heading for the cosmopolitan Lugano with its homonymous lake - a city that "beats" with the precision of a Swiss clock. Free time and next stop Como and its homonymous lake. Arrival and introduction to the city. The waterfront, the ideal place for a romantic walk, next to it Piazza Cavour - the central square with beautiful cafes and restaurants - and the Cathedral, known for the different architectural styles it incorporates, are the most important sights we will see during our tour. Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Overnight.

DAY 7: LAKE MAGGIORE - MILAN, TOUR - ATHENS

Breakfast and departure for Milan. Arrival and city tour, during which we will see the Cathedral (Duomo), the famous covered arcade Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the neoclassical theater of La Scala in Milan and its museum. Free time for coffee or lunch and departure for the airport where we will board the flight to Athens.

Optional excursions are organized in consultation with the local agent and their execution depends on the number of participants as well as the availability / price of the coaches.        

Triple rooms in all hotels are, in essence, double rooms with an extra bed. They are usually not very comfortable and the extra bed may be smaller than the regular ones or a sofa or a fold-out bed.

Rooms are usually delivered by the hotel between 14:00 - 16:00 and are available to guests until 10:00 - 12:00 on the day of departure (depending on the policy of each hotel)
