1st day: ATHENS - LONDON, CITY TOUR

Meeting at the airport and flight with AEGEAN to London. Upon arrival, we will begin our acquaintance with the British capital from the aristocratic suburb of South Kensington, where we will admire the massive, imposing museums of Natural History, Science, and Victoria and Albert. Then we will pass through Knightsbridge with the tasteful department stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Crossing Park Lane, we will see Marble Arch and the aristocratic Mayfair. We continue towards the official residence of the Royal Family - the famous Buckingham Palace - and pass through Westminster with Parliament Square, dominated by the statues of National Heroes, the Abbey, inextricably linked to the British monarchy, art and history, the Parliament building and Big Ben, the emblem of the city. Of course, we will not forget the Southwark area and the south bank of the Thames where we will admire the Globe Theatre, the Millenium Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral. Free time for lunch at More London Place with views of Tower Bridge, the Shard skyscraper, London Bridge and of course the Tower of London. Late in the afternoon, transfer and check-in at one of the central hotels, such as THISTLE MARBLE ARCH 4* sup. (www.thistle.com) on Oxford Street or at HOLIDAY INN BLOOMSBURY 4* (www.holidayinn.com) within walking distance of Oxford Street or at CROWNE PLAZA KINGS CROSS 4* sup. (www.ihg.com). Overnight.

Day 2: LONDON, FREE DAY OPTIONAL: NIGHT CITY TOUR

Free day for walks, shopping and visits to museums, art galleries, etc. For your shopping you can start from Oxford Street, the most commercial street in Europe, the beautiful Regent Street, the countless shops with all the brand names of Bond Street. Fans of art and science can choose one of the dozens of museums in the city, such as the Natural History Museum with its 80,000,000 exhibits, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the largest museum of decorative arts in the world, the Imperial War Museum, the Tate Gallery of modern art. For the afternoon we recommend an optional 4-hour tour of London by night (individual expenses). DESCRIPTION OF OPTIONAL EXCURSION We will walk through the center of London's nightlife, the West End, starting from Carnaby Street, which is the paradise of fashionistas, Soho with its dark and special alleys, China Town, Leicester Square, the square where the premieres of Hollywood blockbusters take place. Then we will board the coach for a night tour of the Thames. Stops for photos at the most beautiful landmarks of the city, London Eye, Big Ben, More London Place, Tower Bridge, Shard. Late at night return to the hotel and overnight stay. (£50 per adult and £30 per child / paid directly to the leader).

Day 3: LONDON, FREE DAY

Optional: Day trip to Madame Tussauds Museum, Greenwich, Thames Cruise Free day to further explore the city. We suggest you visit one of the dozens of beautiful parks in London, such as Saint James Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park, Hyde Park. We also suggest you take part in the optional trip to Madame Tussauds Museum, Greenwich and Thames Cruise: (optional, individual expenses).

DESCRIPTION OF OPTIONAL EXCURSION

Morning departure for a full-day excursion (individual expenses). We will start with the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the best of its kind, to get to know "up close" great personalities of history, politics, show biz and sports, walk the Horror Section Walk, learn about the history of the capital with the Spirit of London Ride, meet Marvel superheroes with the Marvel Universe 4D Experience. Next stop is Greenwich. There, we will take a photo at the point where the Prime Meridian of the earth passes, we will visit the National Maritime Museum, the Queen's House and admire the merchant ship Cutty Sark. Free time to get to know the beautiful countryside of the city. Return to the center of London, with a unique cruise on a tourist boat through the River Thames, with a view of the city's most famous landmarks from the river. Disembarkation at Westminster Pier and return to our hotel. (£120 per adult and £100 per child / paid directly to the leader). For anyone who only wants to visit the MADAME TUSSAUDS Museum with transportation (Ticket, pre-booking, transfer by coach: £50 per adult and £45 per child / paid directly to the leader).

Day 4: CONTINUATION OF LONDON TOUR… BRITISH MUSEUM & BUCKINGHAM PALACE.

After breakfast, we will start our day (with the coach and our leader) with our first visit to one of the most important archaeological museums in the world, the British Museum, which houses a huge collection of works of art from every corner of the planet, including the famous Parthenon Sculptures (metopes on the theme of the Centaur Battle, the Frieze of Siculus depicting the Panathenaic Procession, the masterful sculptural compositions of the two pediments by Phidias) and of course we will admire one of the six Caryatids of the Erechtheion. We will then visit the Whitehall area where we will have the opportunity to have our photo taken with the Royal Mounted Guard, see the residence of the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, and then enjoy a nature walk in St. James's Park, which is also the oldest Royal Park in London. Our walk in the park will lead us to Buckingham Palace where we will continue with our pre-arranged visit to the Royal State Rooms, which are adorned with works of art by Rembrandt, Rubens, Watteau, and Van Dyck. Here, His Majesty and members of the Royal Family hold official ceremonies and receive their guests. (Ticket included in the price).

Day 5: LONDON - WINDSOR - ATHENS

Morning departure for Windsor, where we will have the opportunity to admire the eponymous castle / palace - residence of the kings of England since the time of William the Conqueror (optional entrance - individual expenses, pre-booking required by the travelers themselves). We will visit the official apartments, the Queen's dollhouse and the Chapel of St. George. Afterwards we will have time to enjoy a walk through the picturesque alleys of the city. Transfer to the airport and boarding the flight to Athens.

NOTES:

·       The above excursions and visits may take place in a different order, without omitting anything listed.

·       Optional excursions are organized in consultation with the local agent and their execution depends on the number of participants as well as the availability/price of the coaches.

·       Windsor Castle is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.

·       Triple rooms in all hotels are, in essence, double rooms with an extra bed. They are usually not very comfortable and the extra bed may be smaller than the regular ones or a sofa or a fold-out bed.

·       The family room at the THISTLE MARBLE ARCH hotel is a room with 1 double bed and a small sofa and at the CROWNE PLAZA KINGS CROSS it is a room with 2 double beds.

·       Departures on 20, 27/6, 4/7 do not include entry to Buckingham Palace due to the fact that visits to the Palace have not yet begun and instead include a visit to the Natural History and Victoria and Albert Museums.

·       Rooms are usually delivered by the hotel between 14:00 - 16:00 and are available to guests until 10:00 - 12:00 on the day of departure (depending on the policy of each hotel).
